Creative workshops exploring diverse ways of being and knowing.
Creation should be a relational act that serves the body and mind. Too often, humans are fixated on the aesthetics of the end product. Creation is about process; the process is fundamental.
I deliver a range of workshops exploring the use of creative practices to develop relationship with the more than human and examine how disabled and/or neurodivergent people connect with our environments.
Workshops are always tailored to the audience and what participants want to get from the practice. They can be held in person, online, or remotely with land-based practices. Workshops can include:
- Exploration of natural materials and physical sensation
- Finding relationship with the more than human kin while housebound
- Generating a forest ecosystem through online connection
- Use of digital tools when creating with physical constraints
- Mark making as expression of kinship
- Masking as shapeshifting
I deliver workshops for all: diverse forms of disability including physical, sensory, and intellectual; chronically ill; neurodivergent; non-disabled and neurotypical allies.
